Louis Greenspan Day Care Center

You CAN be a student-parent. Our accredited, on-campus center serves toddler and preschool children of DCC students, faculty and staff along with the greater community. Plus, our new, extended hours to 5:30 p.m. make the Day Care Center more convenient than ever.

High-Quality, Affordable Care

DCC’s Louis Greenspan Day Care Center serves children ages 18 months to five years. Choose the toddler program for ages 18-36 months or the preschool program for age 3-5.

We offer full- or part-time care. Children must be enrolled at least two mornings each week — we don't provide hour-by-hour or drop-in care.

Our program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and licensed by New York Office of Children and Family Services. We provide:

Daily breakfast, snacks and hot lunch
Exciting and developmentally appropriate toddler and preschool curricula
Teachers educated, trained and certified in early care and education
Excellent adult-to-child ratios that support interaction and supervision
Enrichment program including fall field trips and spring visits by guest artists
Developmental screenings and assessment for each child every year
Parent-teacher conferences each semester

Our center features large, sunny classrooms and:

Interest areas for blocks, dramatic play, games and puzzles, art, library, texture table, music, cooking and computers
Low open shelving, child-sized furnishings and inviting materials that foster natural joy in learning
Outdoor playground and indoor playroom for fresh air, movement and active play

We choose our teachers carefully, seeking:

Credentials including four-year degrees, two-year degrees and child development certificates
Demonstrated joy working with young children and families
Training in CPR and first aid

We provide at least 15 hours of professional development for full-time staff each year.

Tuition & Financial Support

Call us at (845) 431-8085 for current tuition rates. Students may be eligible for SUNY Child Care Subsidy Block Grants, Dutchess County Youth Board and Coordinating Council Child Care Subsidy Scholarships, and other financial aid for child care.
