Resources for Student Parents
Balancing education with family responsibilities can be a challenge. DCC offers both financial support and child care programs that can help parents realize their goals.

These grants help income-eligible parents access campus-based child care for toddlers and preschoolers.
This U.S. Department of Education initiative supports student-parents eligible for Pell Grants. It offer assistance for campus-based toddler and preschooler care, as well as school-based before- or after-school programs.
Helps single parents—with no income restrictions—cover costs for toddlers and preschoolers at DCC’s Louis Greenspan Daycare Center. Also provides support for infants and school-age kids at other community-based centers.
Support from DCC CARES
DCC CARES offers help for students facing financial emergencies. Grants of up to $2,000 can help address child care and other pressing priorities.
We also can refer you to campus and community resources that help with housing, food, utilities, and other non-academic needs. Email Whitney Morris, student resource navigator, or call (842) 431-8973.
