What You'll Study as a Construction Technology Student

Get the knowledge and skills you need to begin your career in residential, commercial or industrial construction. Or, if you've been in the industry for a while, hone your technical and engineering skills while exploring the business and management aspects of the industry.

You'll start with introductory classes in the field. Next, you'll move into more advanced work that includes presentations and a capstone project.

Basics of drawing lines, lettering, use of instruments, orthographic projection, and pictorials.

Study construction materials, architectural detailing, and structural drawings.

Intro to illumination, heating and cooling, energy efficiency and sustainable design.
