CLEP Exams

Dutchess Community College proctors CLEP exams for students who wish to earn college credits based on previous learning experience. Taking CLEP exams offers the opportunity for students to earn college credits by displaying proficiency in certain content areas. CLEP scores and credits vary upon exam and institution, so students should contact their college prior to signing up for the exam to ensure the credits will be granted.

Payment

1. Students will go to clep.collegeboard.org to purchase their exam (and have an opportunity to purchase review materials.)
2. Students are also required to pay a $35 test proctoring fee which can be done by clicking on the “Pay Test Proctoring Fee” button below. Please bring proof of payment to the Testing Center on the date of testing.

Scheduling

Students will bring their exam ticket as well as a photo ID to the Testing Center. Tests are available by appointment only and are scheduled by emailing HighStakesTesting@sunydutchess.edu.
