Eligibility requirements for enrolling in CSTEP at Dutchess Community College.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for CSTEP you must:

1. Be a New York state resident who is either a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
2. Be a member of what is considered to be a historically underrepresented minority in the sciences and technologies (African American, Hispanic, Native American or Alaskan Native) and/or a person who qualifies as economically disadvantaged in New York state based on family income/size.
3. Attend DCC full time (12 or more credits per semester) with a 2.0 GPA or above.
4. Be matriculated into one of the following programs: Accounting (ACC); Business Administration Transfer (BAT); Child Care (CHC); Computer Information Systems (CIS); Computer Science (CPS); Criminal Justice (CRJ); Electrical Technology (ELT); Engineering Science (ENR); Exercise Science and Wellness (ESW) if career goal is medicine or licensed athletic trainer; Liberal Arts-Humanities (LAH) with career goal of law, social work or psychology; Human Services (HMS), Liberal Arts-Math (LAM); Liberal Arts-Science (LAX); Liberal Arts-Education (EDB, EDX or EDS); Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT); Mental Health Assistant (CMH) or Nursing (NUR)
