Tell Me More About...

What About...

This might be the first time you're living away from home. We know you and your parents might have a few questions about residence hall life.

A wide variety of made-to-order items are available on campus! The Byte Machine and Costa Coffee Machine are also available 24/7 to Conklin residents in the Conklin Hall Atrium. All students living in the residence hall must choose a meal plan.

After your application is complete, you'll be able to create a profile and search for roommates.

Double rooms range from $4,506 - $4,768 per semester. Single rooms are $5,518 per semester, but those are reserved for RAs and returning students. You'll also need to select a meal plan.

We want you to feel right at home, but there are some things we prefer you leave there. See our list of what to bring and what not to and also check out our visual guide to prohibited items

New students from counties other than Dutchess and Putnam must have a high school average of at least 70 (or a minimum TASC score of 2800) to live in Academic Housing. Students who have less than that and live in Dutchess or Putnam will be evaluated on an individual basis. Transfer students with a GPA below 2.0 will also be considered on an individual basis.

Live in the beautiful Hudson Valley

Opioid overdose prevention in college housing

Per NYS Education Law Article 129-A, Section 6438-A Dutchess Community College provides training in the administration of opioid antagonists (Naloxone) to professional and student staff annually; this includes every resident assistant employed by DCC. Opioid antagonists are accessible by every resident assistant for use during emergencies to any student, staff or other individual on college-owned or college-operated housing premises suspected of having an opioid overdose whether or not there is a previous history of opioid abuse.
