Save the Date – March 29, 2025

The Dutchess Community College Foundation is excited to announce the 2025 Our Community’s Bridge to the Future Gala, happening on Saturday, March 29 at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie. This annual celebration highlights the transformative power of education while raising funds to support the over $800,000 in scholarships, grants, and programming the Foundation provides each year.

As we look back on the 2024 Gala, it was a spectacular evening of community collaboration. John Genovese ’74 and Edward Pittman ’80 were inducted into the DCC Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame for their outstanding professional achievements and dedication to the Mid-Hudson Valley. Geraldine Laybourne received the Bridge to the Future Award, honoring her work to uplift the region’s quality of life, and Brian Doyle was presented with the Bernard Handel Community Leadership Award for his transformative service to local nonprofit organizations. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the event exceeded expectations, raising critical funds for DCC students, faculty, staff and innovative college programs.

Looking ahead, the 2025 Gala promises to shine even brighter as we honor a new group of visionary leaders whose contributions continue to shape our community:

Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees: Yvonne D. Flowers ’90 and Kirk A. Imperati
Bridge to the Future Award Recipients: Dutchess County BOCES, Poughkeepsie City School District, and Wappingers Central School District
Bernard Handel Community Leadership Award Recipient: Eleanor R. Charwat

Join us for an evening of celebration, recognizing the achievements that define Dutchess Community College as Our Community’s Bridge to the Future. Together, we’ll create a night to remember, shaping a brighter future for our students while advancing the mission of education, opportunity and community.
