P-TECH at DCC
A Pathway to Tech (Starting in High School!)
High school students can earn their diploma and college degree in just four years. With hands-on training for in-demand skills, P-TECH prepares students for graduation and a great career!
What is P-TECH?
The New York State Pathways in Technology Early College High School (NYS P-TECH) program connects students with future job opportunities, starting in ninth grade! This innovative program is offered in collaboration between Dutchess BOCES and Wappingers Central School District, and industry partners like the Council of Industry and OnSemi.
Enrollment Benefits
This learning model allows students to do three things at once:
- Complete NYS high school graduation requirements
- Learn valuable skills employers are looking for
- Earn an associate degree in Electrical Technology (ELT) at DCC
Graduates are ready to step into well-paying careers or continue their education toward a bachelor’s degree.
Where Are Classes Held?
Students complete the first two years (ninth and tenth grade) at their high school. In their junior and senior years, they’ll attend classes both at their high school and DCC’s state-of-the-art Mechatronics Lab at the Center of Excellence for Industry & Innovation in Fishkill.
