What You'll Study in the Early Childhood/Childhood Education Spanish Concentration
At DCC, you’ll build a foundation in the principles and best practices of early childhood and childhood education. With a Spanish concentration, your degree is designed around an array of courses in Spanish writing, conversation, and expression.
Our program is jointly registered with SUNY New Paltz, making your transition from DCC to a bachelor’s program and, finally, to full New York State teaching certification as smooth as possible.

SPA 101: Elementary Spanish 1
This is the first half of a foundation to the Spanish language vocabulary and structure.
Students beginning with a higher level of Spanish in their first semester should complete
SPA 301.
EED 103: Early Childhood/Childhood Observation
Learn about children from preschool through upper elementary through a series of guided
observations
