Model United Nations

The National Model United Nations (NMUN) attracts more than 5,000 college students from over 160 colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and abroad to its annual five-day simulation in New York City – and DCC students have been involved for the past 50 years! The delegation, known as The Hudson River Group, consists of students from DCC and nearby Vassar College.

Students interested in building skills in diplomacy, international relations, debate, communication and compromise will find the experience challenging, rewarding and fun. NMUN is a spring-semester history course that culminates with the simulation and conference.

The Hudson River Group is highly regarded for the preparedness of its team members; students consistently win awards for excellence at the annual conference.
