Impaired Driver Program
Individuals who have been convicted of an alcohol or drug-related driving violation may be required to participate in New York State's Impaired Driver Program (IDP) (previously known as Drinking Driving Program (DDP)) or an approved out-of-state program to regain a conditional license. This class is only available to those who have a court mandate to participate.
Please check back for updated information. We look forward to serving you in the future.
Students may register for this program at any local DMV office.
Classes are held once a week, for seven consecutive weeks. Classes are typically held Monday-Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. Classes usually last for approximately two hours each day. Students may be required to satisfy additional requirements to successfully complete the IDP.
