DCC Ally Network
The Ally Network is a group of faculty, staff and students who strive to make Dutchess Community College a safe and welcoming place for members of the LGBTQIA community.
This symbol, which can be found throughout campus offices, serves to indicate to members of the LGBTQIA community that they can find an individual member of the general DCC community, to speak with, to get support or assistance. The person displaying this symbol can also provide access to valuable information and resources. Allies identify as LGBTQIA, cisgender or heterosexual.
Our Goal
The goal of this program is to provide a welcoming environment for LGBTQIA persons, provide assistance with obstacles, establish a network of people who can provide support and information and have sought out education in these areas. Individuals who have committed to being allies have taken part in an Ally Network training and have indicated that discrimination will not be tolerated.
