Containing and mitigating the spread of Coronavirus locally, nationally, and globally has created a new normal for all of us. These are unprecedented and uncertain times, to be sure, but we are not helpless. Every one of us has an important role to play in protecting the health and well-being of ourselves, our families, friends, and neighbors by adhering to the guidance of health professionals. It is reassuring and energizing to see how the DCC campus community is responding so positively to this call to action.
To alleviate the stress and anxiety of an uncertain date for returning to business as usual at DCC, we have drawn on the best and most authoritative information and recommendations available. In consultation with the State University of New York and Dutchess County, and with the support of our faculty and staff, we have developed a plan that will allow students to complete their spring and summer coursework. Students are receiving detailed updates through their College email; these are the highlights:
Classes are being taught remotely. On-campus instruction is largely suspended through the end of our summer sessions.
All events and activities are cancelled until further notice.
Critical College operations will continue, but most personnel will work remotely in order to protect our employees and comply with social distancing guidelines.
More details will be posted as they become available.
