Classes Begin Remotely March 30

Containing and mitigating the spread of Coronavirus locally, nationally, and globally has created a new normal for all of us. These are unprecedented and uncertain times, to be sure, but we are not helpless. Every one of us has an important role to play in protecting the health and well-being of ourselves, our families, friends, and neighbors by adhering to the guidance of health professionals. It is reassuring and energizing to see how the DCC campus community is responding so positively to this call to action.

To alleviate the stress and anxiety of an uncertain date for returning to business as usual at DCC, we have drawn on the best and most authoritative information and recommendations available. In consultation with the State University of New York and Dutchess County, and with the support of our faculty and staff, we have developed a plan that will allow students to complete their spring coursework. Students are receiving detailed updates through their College email; these are the highlights:

  • Classes will resume remotely on March 30. On-campus instruction is largely suspended through the end of the semester.

More details will be posted as they become available.

Thank you.
