What Visitors Need to Know

(Updated September 28, 2021)

Welcome back, friends and visitors!

We look forward to offering the full DCC experience this fall, with the following health and safety protocols in place. We will also continue to follow any additional New York State or local health guidelines including those on capacity limits.

VACCINATIONS

We highly encourage all visitors to get vaccinated before they visit DCC campuses.

MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING

All visitors are required to wear masks in campus buildings.

Outdoor masking is not required for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, but social distancing is highly encouraged. Masking guidelines may change if Dutchess County experiences an increase in COVID-19 transmission rates or if SUNY requires additional masking protocols.

SELF-HEALTH ASSESSMENTS

DCC encourages visitors to perform an at-home self-health assessment before coming to campus. For a list of questions to ask yourself in assessing your health, see the At-Home Health Questionnaire. The questions will also be posted on or near entrances to buildings and facilities.

If you show symptoms of infectious illness, please stay at home and/or seek medical care.

VISITORS' CAMPUS COMPLIANCE GUIDANCE

Enforcement of the COVID-19 guidance will be handled through Campus Safety.

FACILITIES PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES

Cleaning
DCC will continue to clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as common areas and shared workstations, at least once a day. The College will also regularly clean and disinfect other surfaces as necessary depending on the level of traffic and the general risk of community transmission of COVID-19. DCC will continue to provide hand sanitizer stations at building entrances.

Ventilation and Air Filtration
DCC has increased outdoor airflow and ventilation rates in indoor settings to support individual comfort and safety, and in accordance with building codes and standards.
