Spring Semester Student recitals in James and Betty Hall Theatre

1:00 p.m. recital: Ages 12 and under
3:00 p.m. recital: Ages 13 to 18
4:30 p.m. recital: Adults 18 and up
Guitar Master Class led by David Temple
Wednesday, June 12 from 6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre at DCC. This event is cohosted by the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra, the DCC Music School, and DCC’s Music Performance Certificate Program.
David Temple will guide four guitarists toward classical guitar performance excellence and will perform at the beginning and ending of the program.

The Towne Crier Cafe presents Helen Avakian’s Guitar Party to Benefit MusicLink Scholarship at Dutchess Community College Music School!
Thursday, June 13, 7:30 p.m.
Enjoy an evening of acoustic guitar, saxophone and vocals featuring:
Helen Avakian, International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion/singer/songwriter, former DCC instructor in college and music school, also Marist and Bard Colleges.
Dr. Christopher Brellochs, saxophone master, associate professor of music at DCC, chair of the Music Performance Certificate Program, instructor at Vassar College.
Daniel Stevens, classical guitarist, Guitar instructor DCC, college and Music School.
Mark Sganga, world-touring virtuoso fingerstyle jazz guitarist, composer, vocalist, International Fingerstyle Champion, instructor at Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Students and former students of these educators will also be featured in performance!

Annual Sing-A-Thon/Play-A-Thon To Benefit MusicLink Scholarship Fund
Saturday, July 27 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre
Would you like to perform at The Music School’s Sing-A-Thon/Play-A-Thon to support our MusicLink Scholarship Fund? Students, faculty and community members of all ages are invited to play/sing while helping low-income students. Participants will request pledges from family and friends for the event.
