We offer ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, high school equivalency programs, driver education, and group and private music instruction. We also provide customized workforce training to local businesses and industry, government and nonprofits.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education

We offer ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, high school equivalency programs, driver education, and group and private music instruction.

We also provide customized workforce training to local businesses and industry, government and nonprofits. In addition, we partner with Dutchess County on economic development initiatives, including START-UP NY.

Sample Courses

EMT Certification
If you thrive on the excitement and adrenaline rush of being a first responder within the medical industry, then the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program at DCC is perfect for you.

Commercial Drone Pilot
Learn to operate and maintain drone aircraft, capture compelling drone video and prepare to earn an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.

Music Lessons
Individual or group lessons for adults and children, given by our Academy of Music’s highly accomplished instructors, who perform professionally.

At DCC, we recognize the value of learning that happens outside the classroom — and we have a process to help you get credit for what you already know!

Refund Policy

A full refund or complimentary transfer will be given for any courses canceled by the College. Except for the exceptions below, you may withdraw from a course with a full refund up until 3:30 p.m. on the last business day before the course begins. If you wish to withdraw within the first week of class for any reason you may receive either:

  • a 50% refund; or
  • one complimentary transfer to a future offering of the course.

No additional refunds or transfers will be offered without significant, documented, and unavoidable reasons for course withdrawal.

Exceptions

Academy of Music

Full refunds will be given for any courses canceled by the College. Additional refunds are only possible if requested at least 14 days in advance of the individual lesson or group class start date.

EMT and Related Programs

You may withdraw from a class with a full refund within the first week of class for any reason. No additional refunds or transfers will be offered without significant, documented reasons for course withdrawal.

HSE (High School Equivalency) & ESL (English as a Second Language)

You may withdraw from a course with a full refund during the first three weeks of classes. After the first three weeks, there is a $10.00 non-refundable fee applied. No additional refunds or transfers will be offered without significant, documented, and unavoidable reasons for course withdrawal.

CareerStep Online Courses

Policy pertains to the following programs: Pharmacy Technician, Medical Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Coding & Billing, Medical Transcription & Editing, Executive Assistant, CompTia Network +, and CompTia Security +  If, for any reason, you withdraw after the initial 14-day review period, you are not released from your obligation to pay the course fees in full and you are not entitled to any refund.

Drivers Education

Full refunds will be given if the college cancels the course or to those who drop the course within 2 business days of the course start date. No full or partial refunds will be issued for this course once the course is in session.
