Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) classes will be offered in a hybrid format this summer. The next class starts on 7/6. Lecture hours will be offered online, while skill labs will be held in-person, adhering to appropriate social distancing guidelines. Register to attend one of our upcoming orientation sessions here! CASAC 103 -Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling Part 2 (75 hours) – The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) requires 350 education hours in order to receive a CASAC-T (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) credential. CASAC 103 is one of five courses offered in the non-credit CASAC program. Classes can be taken in any order; they do not have to be taken sequentially. CASAC 103 is offering live online instruction on Zoom. Remote instruction has already begun for the summer term, but check back in July for fall course offerings.
Emergency Medical Technician – Original (Day Class Only) – will commence on 5/26. Priority enrollment will be given to students with a declared Paramedic major. If you are interested in EMT Training, you must email Lori Pohill at firstname.lastname@example.org.The didactic portion of the class will be offered via synchronous online sessions. Labs will be conducted in-person starting in July, preparing students for the NYS practical exam in August. If labs cannot be conducted within the scheduled timeframe, the course will be extended beyond August, until all NYS requirements are met. AHA/NAEMT Courses – All in-person courses through July 1 have been cancelled. Currently, all AHA certification expiration dates have been extended for 120 days and all NAEMT expirations have been extended for 90 days. The EMS Office will work with individual students to offer online training when possible. Please contact Valerie Pagliaro at Valerie.firstname.lastname@example.org for further information and details on scheduling.
Security Guard Trainings –The 8-hour Pre-Assignment Trainings (6/13 and 7/25) will be offered remotely using Zoom and Blackboard. All other trainings (8-hour Annual In-Service and 16-hour On-the-Job) will run on campus as scheduled, adhering to appropriate social distancing guidelines. Driver Education – All in-person Driver Education programs are cancelled through the end of June. Please check back for updated information at that time. We look forward to serving you in the future.
The Defensive Driving course can now be taken online, on your own time! This class is offered in both English and Spanish.
