those looking to start a career in security, as there are many opportunities for advancement
and promotion.
The 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training will be meet through remote digital learning environments
such as Zoom and/or Collaborate for “live” group classes. Students will also be using
remote environments such as Blackboard and email for asynchronous components. Students
will need a computer, tablet or smart phone with reliable wifi connection.
Please note: registration for the class will close one week before the start date!
You will be expected to regularly check your email for instructions on how to join
the “live” classes and log into your Blackboard account. If the start date is approaching
and you have not seen an email from us, please check your spam folder. You must also
attempt to log into your account a few days prior to the start of the course so that
you can notify us of any problems that may require assistance from the computer helpdesk.
The 8-Hour Annual In-Service and the 16-Hour On-the-Job Trainings will be offered
in-person. You will receive further procedural and safety guidelines via email. These
are mandatory guidelines and must be followed if you are to come on campus. Students
and teachers are required to wear a mask and social distancing is to be practiced.
