AEMT Original
This training program is an intensive 400-hour program designed to train an individual to the current New York State Department of Health standard for AEMTs to work side by side with other health care professionals to help deliver professional pre-hospital emergency medical care. This course is designed to help the student gain the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to be a competent, productive, and valuable member of the Emergency Medical Services team. Students successfully completing the program will be eligible to sit for the NYS AEMT certification exam. Students must have a current New York State EMT-B certification in order to register for the course and their certification must remain active through the entirety of the program.
A current physical exam dated 01/01/2025 or later, up-to-date immunizations, background check, drug screening, flu shot or flu shot declination waiver, and clearance to complete N-95 mask fit-testing must be submitted prior to the start of the course in order to complete the required clinical portion of the course. Students will be sent an email with this paperwork shortly after registration. The cost of the background check and drug screening are not included in the $1,500 tuition.
