Transfer Planning

If you would like to earn a bachelor’s degree let us help! Here at Dutchess our ACT coaches will help you to make informed choices on senior colleges and will assist you with next steps for admission. Our goal is to make the transfer process seamless for our students. Throughout the year, ACT provides programming and information sessions regarding articulation agreements and senior colleges.

Transfer Programming and Workshops

Transfer 101 – Every Tuesday at 12:30 pm when classes are in session. No appointment needed; just show up on time. Call 845-431-8600 if you have questions. You will learn about transfer process, finding the right school, application process, fees and fee waivers, transfer scholarships, and helpful hints. You will also have a chance to ask your questions and schedule an individual session with the transfer coordinator. See the latest schedule.

Individual Advising is by appointment only. Students are encouraged to attend a Transfer 101 workshop before making the appointment.

SUNY Seamless Transfer

Class presentations

Campus visits by representatives from four-year colleges/universities (advertised on TV screens around the campus)

Transfer Fair held in November – over 80 colleges attend

DCC South Transfer Day is held in the spring

Transfer Panels held throughout the year on different major/areas.

Transfer Adult Night aimed to assist adult evening students find alternative program options such as online and hybrid.
