Advisement

Students may be assigned to coaches who will work with them until graduation. We encourage students to meet with their coach a minimum of three times in a semester. During your session with your coach please come prepared to discuss your progression in coursework, plans for the following semester, and advise coaches if you are feeling distracted or are experiencing difficulties with your classes.

Due to the State of Emergency declared in response to COVID-19, all ACT Center staff are working remotely. Academic Coaches are available through the Microsoft Teams application. Connect with your academic coach through video, chat and phone by accessing the app through your student email account. Review this guide on how to access the Teams App.

The ACT Center Advising Syllabus - Your advising syllabus provides information and resources to further support academic success. The syllabus informs what is expected of you, as the student, and also the key responsibilities of your academic coach. It is meant to provide a better understanding of the ACT Center’s purpose in your academic journey, as well as emphasize the importance of the proactive role you must play in your academic and career plans.
