Microcredentials verify, validate, and attest that specific skills and/or competencies have been achieved. They differ from traditional degrees and certificates in that they are generally offered in shorter or more flexible timespans and tend to be more narrowly focused. Microcredentials can be offered online, in the classroom, or via a hybrid of both.
Our Microcredentials all provide coursework that would count toward a degree, but students aren’t required to be enrolled in a degree program to earn the credential.
Any Microcredentials that you earn at DCC will appear on your official DCC transcript, and you will also earn a “Digital Badge” that will allow you to share your achievement with potential employers on professional networking sites.
