Experts to discuss US foreign policy in the context of Ukraine, the Middle East and China
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — OCT. 11, 2024 — The Dutchess Community College Foundation (DCCF) will host a panel discussion on Oct. 24, examining how the outcome of the 2024 presidential election could shape America's role in global affairs. As the nation prepares for a significant vote, this discussion will focus on the potential implications for U.S. foreign policy, especially concerning key geopolitical areas such as Ukraine, the Middle East and China.
The Richard Reitano Faculty Endowed Chair in Social Sciences is a free community event supported by the World Affairs Council of the Mid-Hudson Valley and will feature expert insights from three leading foreign policy experts:
- Dr. Joseph J. Collins, National Defense University
- Malia Du Mont, Bard College
- James Ketterer, Bard College
The conversation will be moderated by Richard Levitt from the NYU Center for Global Affairs and facilitated by DCC Associate Professor of Government Dr. Karin Riedl.
The panel, titled “November 5, 2024—U.S. Voters Decide What the World Looks Like in 2025 and Beyond,” will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre on DCC’s main campus.
