MEETING PACE’S CORE/LIBERAL STUDIES REQUIREMENT:
DCC students graduating with an A.A. or A.S. degree are considered to have met Pace’s Core/Liberal Studies requirements (with the exception of two courses that must be completed at Pace: ENG 201, Writing in the Disciplines, and a course in Civic Engagement and Public Values) when they have completed a minimum of 60 credits in the liberal arts and sciences. These 60 credits must include the following DCC courses: CIS 111 (3 credits) SPE 101 (3 credits) *Foreign Language (6 crs.)
*A one year (two-semester) sequence will satisfy the foreign language requirement. DCC students transferring as Business, Nursing and Computer Science majors can satisfy the requirement by taking a 3-credit culture course in English at Pace.
Comprehensive Articulation Agreement: DCC and PACE University
Dutchess Community College students earning associate degrees in the articulated academic programs listed below are guaranteed a minimum of 60 transfer credits towards the Pace degree requirement and a maximum of 68 transfer credits. According to this agreement, transfer students completing all the prescribed courses in the Associate degree programs listed below with a grade of “C” or better will be prepared to enroll in junior-level major courses and can realistically expect to complete the Pace Baccalaureate degree in four semesters.
