Individual Counseling

Confidential, time-limited, individual counseling is available for all currently enrolled DCC students. The first step is to come in for an initial session. At your initial session, you and your counselor will discuss your reasons for coming to counseling and work to develop a plan together. Many students at DCC utilize this service for help with a range of issues including (but not limited to):

  • Depression

  • Stress or anxiety

  • Adjustment issues (Including transition to and from DCC)

  • Difficulty concentrating or completing tasks

  • Procrastination

  • Alcohol or drug concerns

  • Sexual orientation or gender identity

  • Family problems

  • Relationship issues

  • Grief and loss

  • Coping with trauma

  • Domestic violence

  • Sexual assault

  • Eating or body image concerns

  • Anger issues

  • Self-esteem

Counseling Services does not provide counseling for mandated or court-related issues.
