Work of Hudson Valley Painter to be Featured in Gallery Exhibit

September 28, 2012 – “Visions,” a collection of paintings by artist Eleana Pellegrino, will be on display in Dutchess Community College’s Mildred I. WashingtonArtGallery between Oct. 1 and Nov. 2. An opening reception, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the gallery on Oct. 5 between 5 and 6:30p.m.
The majority of Pellegrino’s work is based on flowers, figures or landscapes. The current DCC gallery exhibit will highlight this work, displaying a variety of paintings on canvas. Pellegrino is a featured artist in La Leona Arts’ 100 Artists/ 100 Dreams project, and was the co-founder, and assistant director, of La Leona Women’s Painters Guild, a collective of women dedicated to the arts. Her work has been included in exhibitions throughout New York state.
The gallery is in the AllynJ.WashingtonCenter for Science and Art. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests are encouraged to park in Lot D off Cottage Road.
