Volumes for Scholars

Books are assigned Dewey Decimal Classification numbers and Library of Congress subject headings. About 2,500 books were added to the collections last year.

Weeding

Obsolete materials are identified by college faculty or librarians and removed from the collections. Criteria for weeding of books include: age; circulation history; relevance to college programs; and other criteria as determined by professional staff.
