About the Explore and Learn Coordinator

Ashley

This will be Ashley’s first year joining the Kids on Campus team as the Explore and Learn Program Coordinator. She is excited to work with all of the children and families here on campus this summer!

Ashley is a certified elementary and literacy teacher for birth through grade six. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNY New Paltz in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Before transferring to New Paltz, however, she started her college career here at Dutchess Community College and worked at the Daycare Center and Lab Nursery School. Ashley is eager to see our team of experienced teachers transform the campus and college classrooms into a child-friendly environment for exploring and learning!

For the past two years, Ashley has been working in the Arlington, Wappingers, and Millbrook school districts as a substitute teacher, hoping to gain her own elementary classroom one day. Previously, she was a preschool teacher for four years in New Paltz while attending school there. Ashley has also worked at various other daycares and summer camps since high school.

Outside of the classroom, Ashley enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves going to the beach and spending time outdoors during the summer. Ashley also enjoys being creative with crafting and baking.
