1 Feb 2010'Denunciation' Paintings by Renowned David Lax to be Exhibited
The widely recognized “Denunciation” series of paintings by David Lax has joined the permanent artwork collection at DCC. It will be displayed in the DCC Mildred I. Washington Art Gallery from Feb. 10 – 19, then housed in the College’s Hudson Hall.

20 Jan 2010More Than $100,000 in Scholarships Available to DCC Students
The deadline is nearing for Dutchess Community College students to apply for $110,000 in scholarships offered by the College Foundation. The 150 scholarships are available to students who will be enrolled at DCC in the fall, as well as those who will transfer to four-year colleges.

On October 27, Dutchess Community College hosted a ceremony dedicating the College’s archives in honor of Dr. Jerry A. Lee, DCC’s third president who served from 1982 to 1992.

The United States auto industry will be the focus of a lecture by Paul Ingrassia, a 31-year veteran of The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Ingrassia won a Pulitzer Prize in 1993 as the Journal's Detroit bureau chief for coverage of the prior year's crisis at General Motors.

Twin brothers David and Jonathan Bisson graduated first and second, respectively, in the 2009 graduating class of Pine Plains High School, and both have chosen to take advantage of the Charles E. and Mabel E. Conklin Scholarship for Academic Excellence offered by Dutchess Community College for students who have graduated in the top 10% of their high school class.

Dutchess Community College's Laboratory Nursery School, which opened in 1963, will be named in honor of June Roush-Pierson, who was instrumental in the creation of not only the nursery school itself, but the Early Childhood academic program with which it is associated.
