EOP Staff
Doris Diaz-Kelly, Coordinator Mrs. Diaz-Kelly has been working with
special populations for over 15 years. Her focus has been in mentoring and facilitating the educational experience of youth in whatever community she is a member of. Prior to her joining the EOP Office at DCC she was the Coordinator of Hispanic Initiative at Allentown College (now DeSales University). She holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology and Spanish literature from Binghamton University and a Master of Arts and
Social Science with a concentration in Counseling from Binghamton University as well. She lives in Red Hook with her husband and three daughters and enjoys gardening and decorating in her free time.
Office: SSC 303 Ruth Howell-Johnson, Counselor Mrs. Howell-Johnson joined the DCC/EOP team at the beginning of the Fall 2007 semester. Her 18+ years of work experience in the Human Services field includes counseling, case management, vocational rehabilitation, career development and work readiness training, substance abuse support services, and program administration. Her particular passion is providing services to individuals and families, especially historically underserved populations. Mrs. Howell-Johnson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from City College of New York and a Master’s degree in Education from Lehman College. She lives in Wappingers Falls with her husband and two cats, and enjoys cooking, decorating, dancing, sewing, reading and watching old movies. Deborah Herring-Blades, Secretary
Mrs. Blades has been with Dutchess Community College for over 20 years. She lives in Poughkeepsie with her husband
and four children.
